Course Outline
JIB Gold Card Pathway 5 – Experienced Worker Assessment - Domestic (EWA-D)
This pathway is designed for domestic electricians who are already working in the field and can demonstrate occupational competence within the domestic scope. With our expert assessor guidance, the EWA-D process is streamlined, focused, and entirely evidence-based — ensuring your skills are formally recognised to industry standards, paving the way for your JIB Gold Card application.
It is the ideal choice for those with more than three years’ experience in the industry who are already working in a domestic electrical role and hold a Level 2 Electrical Installation Diploma. This route allows you to consolidate your existing knowledge, complete any additional requirements, and achieve the Domestic Electrician NVQ.
Requirements
To be eligible for this pathway you must:
- Individuals aged 21 or over.
- Domestic electricians with more than three years’ industry experience.
- Holders of a Level 2 Electrical Installation Diploma.
- Holders of the BS:7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (or those intending to obtain it).
This pathway provides a focused, structured, and industry-recognised route to achieving your JIB Gold Card within the domestic scope, ensuring every stage of training and assessment directly relates to your working environment. It is the most comprehensive and efficient option for domestic electricians looking to gain formal recognition of their skills.
Before beginning Stage 1, you will complete a Discovery Call and Technical Interview to confirm your eligibility and readiness to proceed.
