Test and Inspect Practical Refresher Course
This course is designed to prepare you for an Inspection and Testing assessment such as the 2391-52, but can also be used a general practical refresher on the correct sequence and methods of inspection & testing.
As you may not have carried out Inspection and Testing in a while, this course will give you the opportunity to practice your skills prior to embarking on the course assessments.
Course content
This course will cover the following topics:
- Safe isolation procedures and equipment (single and 3 phase)
- Continuity of Protective Conductors
- Continuity of Ring final circuit conductors
- Insulation Resistance
- Polarity (single and 3 phase)
- Earth fault loop impedance (single and 3 phase)
- Prospective fault current (single and 3 phase)
- Phase sequence
- RCD testing
- Functional testing
- Inspection & testing documentation will be completed mainly as testing is carried out

Eligibility
You must have an Up to date understanding of IET Wiring Regulation 18th Edition BS:7671, as well as a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science, principles and experience of electrical installation work and testing.
Proficiency of literacy and numeracy
Learners must be 18 years of age or over
