Course Outline
What you will learn:
- MCS Standards – Full alignment with current MCS requirements for design, installation, and commissioning
- Grid-connected solar PV systems – System types, applications, and design
- Electrical safety and compliance – IET Code of Practice and statutory guidance
- AC and DC fundamentals – Cables, protective devices, and earthing for solar PV systems
- System design – Sizing and selection of components, shading, orientation, and yield calculations
- Inspection, testing, and commissioning – Safe isolation, functional testing, certification, and handover
- PEI (Prosumer’s Low Voltage Electrical Installations) – Connection, operation, and regulatory compliance
- Documentation and reporting – MCS-compliant certification and customer handover packs

Eligibility & Entry Requirements

- Qualified to the latest BS:7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
- Competent in literacy and numeracy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
