- Qualified electricians with experience in inspection and testing
- Practitioners seeking a recognised City & Guilds qualification to confirm competence
- Professionals aiming for CPS status or needing proof of up-to-date skills
- Those with good understanding of BS:7671 IET Wiring Regulations and Guidance Note 3
Note: Not recommended for those new to inspection and testing or entering from non-electrical trades.
Course Outline
What you will learn:
- Safe isolation of electric circuits and installations
- Requirements and procedures for periodic inspection & testing of existing installations
- Assessing safety and suitability for continued use
- Application of classification codes and reporting
- Safe testing methods and verification to BS:7671 standards
- Completion of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated documentation

- Proficiency in literacy and numeracy
- Strong working knowledge of BS:7671 and Guidance Note 3
- Recommended: experience in inspection & testing
