Who is this course for?
- Electricians looking to gain or formalise competence in EV charging equipment installation
- Professionals wishing to work with domestic, small-scale commercial, or light industrial EV charging projects
- Those holding a recognised electrotechnical Level 3 NVQ or an JIB Gold Card (evidence required prior to enrolment)
- It is strongly recommended to hold the 18th Edition and a recognised Inspection & Testing qualification; Level 4 Design & Verification is advantageous

What you will learn:
- Key requirements for electric vehicle charging equipment
- Advantages/disadvantages of different types of EV charging arrangements and equipment
- Planning, design, and preparation for installation in domestic and commercial/industrial settings
- Inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of EV charging installations
- Open-circuit faults in PEN conductors within low voltage supply networks
- DNO (Distribution Network Operator) notifications and procedures
- Requirements for on-street installations

Eligibility & Entry Requirements
- Recognised electrotechnical Level 3 NVQ or JIB Gold Card required (evidence required prior to enrolment)
- Strongly recommended: 18th Edition 3rd ammendment (BS:7671) and recognised Inspection & Testing qualification
- Advantageous: Level 4 Design & Verification qualification
- Proficiency in literacy and numeracy
- Learners must be 18 years of age or older
