Experienced Worker Assessment (EWA)
If you want to get your skills and experience recognised to the industry Level 3 benchmark, the Experienced Worker Assessment (EWA) can help.
There are two EWA routes – Installation Electrician and Domestic Electrician – based on the same content as the industry apprenticeships, so both new entrants and existing workers are assessed and accredited against the same industry standard.
The EWA is not a short cut to getting qualified. Those without the range of competence and duration of industry experience after training will not have the skills or knowledge needed to successfully complete the assessment.

Pathways
Process
- Initial Discussion with a Course Advisor
- Complete a Skill Scan and Candidate Background Form
- Profiling Call with a qualified Assessor
- If undertaking a Profiling call for the EWA or EWA-D there will be a charge of £50 + VAT. This will be deducted from your invoice should you proceed.
- Depending on the Pathway, if there are previous qualifications or experience required to start the program, you will be required to submit the relevant evidence to qualify under the eligibility criteria
- Your profiling call is only valid for a period of 30 days. If you have not enrolled on any of the Pathways within the 30 days, you will need to undertake a new profiling call.
- After there is agreement from both Brian Scaddan and you to proceed, your enrolment will be initiated
- Agree on the payment and/or financing terms
- Complete an Enrolment Form
- Pathway information will be issued specifically to the Pathway you are undertaking
- Pathway will begin
