Brian Scaddan Apprenticeships have a responsibility to the companies and Apprentices to get the most from the process. It starts with an interview and discussion regarding what the young person wants from their experience and understanding what inspires them (each student is different) and what they will need in ongoing support.

WHAT WE COVER
STANDARD
Installation Electrician And Maintenance Electrician (ST0152)
Electricians will use engineering knowledge and understanding to apply their technical and practical skills.
COURSE
EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial and residential environments.
EPA
Net Services AM2/S
Forms part of an industry recognised apprenticeship standard for electrical apprentices and has been developed for the trailblazer apprenticeship initiative.
Apprenticeship Details
DURATION
54 months
48 months undertaking the Diploma and NVQ
- Attend Brian Scaddan for 5 days, every 6 weeks
- Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
Apprentices must attend training in their work clothes. Timetable allows Apprentice 8 weeks of Annual Leave per annum.
6 months to complete the Gateway and EPA (AM2S).

MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS
Minimum Wage
Minimum wage for apprentices depending on their age; we do however encourage all employers to consider the impacts of the wages to that the apprentice can support themselves for the duration of their apprenticeship.

Engagement
Engagement with us, throughout the program, to ensure that the apprentice is supported and developed across the 4 year pathway, which includes:
- Providing paid time for the apprentice to attend classroom training
- A formal, documented review of apprentices every 10 weeks
- Regular discussion and feedback
- Allow us to visit the place of work to undertake assessments
Enviroment
A safe and supporting workplace that respects the process and role of the apprentice.
Off-The-Job-Hours
Apprentices need to undertake the required number of ‘Off-The-Job-Hours’ of training as prescribed at the start of their Apprenticeship, supported and paid for by the employer.
FUNDING
The Apprentice is 16-21
The Apprenticeship is fully funded and there is no direct cost for the delivery of the Apprenticeships.

The Apprentice is 22+
5% of the value of the Apprenticeship is to be paid to us across the first 6 months of their apprenticeship over 6 equal payments.
